The meeting between Inter manager Antonio Conte and the club’s management began at 15:00 local time and is still ongoing according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, which was aired a short while ago.
Conte was expected to meet just Inter president Steven Zhang but chief executives Giuseppe ‘Beppe’ Marotta and Alessandro Antonello as well as sporting director Piero Ausilio are all also in attendance.
The purpose of the meeting is to hold discussions over what has happened over the course of the recently concluded 2019/20 season and work out whether it will be possible or not for the parties to continue together but the report states that mediation seems complicated. Despite this, Zhang wants to try and find a meeting point with Conte.
The president wishes to summarise the positions that all people hold and whilst certainly complicated, the report concludes that it is not impossible.
