Italian Media Detail PSG’s, Inter’s & Man City’s Advantages & Disadvantages In Race To Sign Barcelona’s Lionel Messi

Lionel Messi has decided to leave Barcelona and it now remains to be seen who is willing to pay what it will take to sign him according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

Messi told the club who he has spent his entire career with that he wishes to leave via fax. Messi is convinced that he can invoke the clause which enables him to unilateraly terminate his contract.

Barcelona are adamant that the deadline to do so was May 31 but Messi’s representatives argue that due to the season being extended the terms are still valid.

Inter, Manchester City and Paris Saint-Germain have all been linked with signing the Argentine national team player and all three clubs have things that go in their favour as far as signing Messi is concerned.

Inter have the Italian tax laws that they can take advantage of which will allow them to save money and also allow Messi to make a saving on tax, more so than he would playing in France or England.

Manchester City have former manager Pep Guardiola in charge, close friend Sergio Aguero in the team and middle Eastern money to fund a move.

Paris Saint-Germain also have no shortage of money available to them and also have Messi’s friends Angel Di Maria and Neymar in their team.

Manchester United have also been recently linked with Messi but the report claims that the Red Devils’ project does not seem all that attractive to Messi.
