Barcelona want a sum of €15 million to let Arturo Vidal depart the club according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
Inter have renewed their interest in signing the Chilean national team player but paying such a sum for a 33-year-old player whose current contract is due to expire at the end of the upcoming season is deemed to be too much.
Barcelona are keen to trim their wage bill and are open to offloading Vidal, who currently earns €8.5 million a year. The report from the Rome based news outlet goes on to explain that Vidal could possibly join Inter on a longer term deal which would mean his salary could be spread across the contract term.
The former Juventus player made a total of 43 appearances across all competitions in the recently concluded 2019/20 season. In his time on the park, which totalled just over 2200 minutes, he scored eight goals and tallied three assists.
