Inter are open to offering defender Milan Skriniar to Chelsea in exchange for French midfielder N’Golo Kante, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset earlier today.
The report details how coach Antonio Conte has identified the 29-year-old Frenchman as his top priority for the midfield. Chelsea consider him expendable and want around €50 million for his signature, a high figure in a market ravaged by Coronavirus and its effects.
Inter would be open to offering Skriniar to Chelsea in order to lower the overall cost, the report continues. The 25-year-old Slovakian defender is wanted by Paris Saint-Germain and they may offer Argentine midfielder Leandro Paredes in exchange, Inter’s Plan B. Skriniar’s position in the Inter squad is no longer certain after his struggles adapting to Conte’s system.
Inter are also close to securing a two-year deal for Roma defender Aleksander Kolarov, worth around €3 million net per season. Youth player Edoardo Vergani would be included in the deal.
