Arturo Vidal To Leave Barcelona By This Weekend & Join Inter For Start Of Pre-Season Training Italian Media Reports

Barcelona central midfielder Arturo Vidal could leave the club by the weekend according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The Chilean national team player has been told he has no future with the Blaugrana club and wishes to terminate his contract with the Catalan giants.

The foundations have been set and letting Vidal go is perhaps the least painful departure Barcelona will have to deal with seeing as he earns just €8 million a year. Vidal has already earned two month’s worth of wages from the final year of his contract and with just a few million the parties could come to an agreement to separate.

Vidal has agreed a two year contract with Inter worth €6 million a year that should come with an option to a third year. Inter manager Antonio Conte is waiting on Vidal and it would be ideal if Inter were to wrap up his signing by the end of this week as he could start pre-season training on Monday.

Inter’s courtship of Vidal began in the Summer of 2019, they continued to show an interest in January and now look set to finally welcome him to the club.
