Kolarov To Have Inter Medical On Monday Or Tuesday Ahead Of €1.5M Move From Roma

Aleksandar Kolarov could undergo his medical with Inter at the beginning of next week according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The 34-year-old defender is currently away with the Serbian national team but could undergo a medical with Inter on either Monday or Tuesday next week.

Once he has underwent his medical, he will put pen to paper on the contract he has agreed with Inter. Kolarov has agreed to a one year deal with an option to a second year dependent on appearances made from which he will earn €3 million. Inter will meanwhile also pay Roma €1.5 million for the former Manchester City player.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to state that despite being at the tail-end of his playing career, Kolarov still has plenty to give in terms of charisma and can help instil a winning mentality, share his experience with the team and be a leader too.

Kolarov is also a free kick specialist, something Inter have lacked for several years and his arrival could change the club’s fortunes at free kicks with them not having scored directly from one in two years.
