Inter have met with Alessandro Bastoni’s representatives to discuss a new contract according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia journalist and transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.
During his show ‘CalcioMercato – L’Originale’ late last night, he stated that negotiations over a new and improved contract got underway for the highly rated Italian national team defender who had his first team breakthrough at the Nerazzurri club in the 2019/20 season.
Bastoni was not the only player spoken about when Inter met with his representatives though with Di Marzio also claiming they spoke about another client of theirs in Matteo Darmian.
Inter confirmed that they fully intend to honour the pact that they made with Parma to sign the versatile Italian for a sum of €2.5 million.
It remains to be seen how quickly Inter will get the deal done for the former Manchester United player but it is clear that they intend to bring him to Milan.
