Inter linked Arturo Vidal has asked Barcelona to pay him €2.4 million in old bonuses before he’ll agree to terminate his contract with the club, according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sport Mediaset earlier today.
The report details how the 33-year-old Chilean midfielder has been told by new coach Ronald Koeman that he is no longer involved in the club’s future plans, and so is set to terminate his contract with the club by mutual consent next week, a year early. The player’s agent Fernando Felicevich is currently in talks with the Blaugrana regarding the exit.
Vidal has asked Barcelona to pay him €2.4 million in previously unpaid bonuses, the report continues. Once these details have been ironed out, his contract will be terminated, which is expected to happen tomorrow. Following on from that, he will fly out to Milan to undergo his medical exams with Inter before signing for Antonio Conte’s squad.
