Barcelona have not given up in their pursuit of Inter striker Lautaro Martinez according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The Blaugrana club have been courting the 23-year-old Argentine national team forward for a considerable amount of time and although things have went quiet lately, Barcelona have not given up.
Due to this, Inter are in no hurry to enter into negotiations over a contract extension with Lautaro. If he is still with the club when the transfer window shuts, talks will start but should he be sold by then, Inter’s transfer market would change.
His sale would give Inter great liquidity and would fix a few things as far as the next budget is concerned. Lautaro may not be the only player who leaves Inter though.
The report from the Rome based news outlet report that Diego Godin, Marcelo Brozovic, Dalbert, Ivan Perisic, Joao Mario, Matias Vecino, Radja Nainggolan and Roberto Gagliardini could all also leave the club with many of them having interest in their services from elsewhere.
