Gianluca Di Marzio Reports Inter Captain Samir Handanovic Has Signed Contract Extension With Club Until June 2022

Inter club captain and number one goalkeeper Samir Handanovic has signed a contract extension with Inter according to a report from Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia and transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio.

Handanovic’s contract with the Nerazzurri club was due to expire at the end of the upcoming season but this report claims that he has signed a contract extension which will keep him with Inter until the end of the 2021/22 season.

The Slovenian shot-stopper is Inter’s second longest serving player of the current crop of players with him having been with the club since a Summer of 2012 move from Udinese.

Since joining the Nerazzurri, the former Lazio goalkeeper has been virtually ever present for the club with him having made 342 appearances across all competitions to date.

During the 2019/20 season, the 36-year-old, made 48 appearances across all competitions and he managed to keep a total of 16 clean sheets in the process.
