It is now almost impossible for Bacelona to sign Lautaro Martinez from Inter according to a report from the online edition of Spanish news outlet Mundo Deportivo.
Barcelona have worked hard to sign Lautaro from the Nerazzurri but all their hard work appears set to count for nothing.
The Catalonia based club have agreed personal terms with Lautaro and tried to wear Inter down with the Serie A outfit unwilling to drop their demands for the highly rated 23-year-old.
Barcelona had offered €70 million plus Junior Firpo but did not manage to convince Inter to sell Lautaro so they decided to hold off making any more moves until September in the hope that Inter would drop their demands but this has not been the case.
The report goes on to explain that whilst new Barcelona manager Ronald Koeman likes Lautaro, he does not like him as much as he does his compatriot Memphis Depay, who is much cheaper given his contract is due to expire in 2021.
