Genoa are continuing in their pursuit to sign Andrea Ranocchia from Inter according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
Ranocchia has just under a year left to run on his Inter contract and Inter are prepared to allow the Italian centre back to leave the club for nothing to go to Genoa, where he will be able to play as a regular starter, something definitely not possible at Inter, who he has been with since 2011.
Ranocchia is not the only player that has an Inter connection that Genoa have been linked with either with them having been linked with a move for Borja Valero too.
The veteran Spanish midfielder recently became a free agent after his contract expired with Inter at the end of last month but the report goes on to explain that Genoa have slowed in their pursuit of Valero, who is also liked by Hellas Verona.
