Inter are hoping to complete the signing of Chilean midfielder Arturo Vidal on Monday, according to a report from Italian media outlet FcInterNews earlier today.

The report details how the 33-year-old is finally close to reaching an agreement with Barcelona regarding his contract termination, with the parties again set to meet today to attempt to reach a final agreement.

There is optimism in Vidal’s camp that he will be free to embark for Milan within the next 48 hours, in order to undergo his medical exams with Inter before signing a two-year deal with the club on Monday, the report continues.

Vidal still wants to be paid around €2-3 million in previously unpaid add-ons and so a delay could still happen. The Nerazzurri have already reached an agreement with the 33-year-old regarding his contract in Milan, a two-year deal worth €6 million net per season plus add-ons, with an option for a third year.
