A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Libero highlighted three reasons why it will be hard for Inter to sign Marcos Alonso and N’Golo Kante from Chelsea.
The report begins by highlighting that neither player is over 30 years of age, and both of their contracts extend past the end of next season, meaning that they both have a higher price than they may otherwise.
The second reason is that Chelsea are one of the top clubs in Europe and have no interest in losing their stars for a low fee.
The final reason is because of coach Antonio Conte, the report continues. The 51-year-old Italian’s dramatic departure from London and the resulting lawsuit which saw the Blues pay Conte €23 million is still an important factor in West London.
Considering these factors, Chelsea won’t look to sell Kante for any less than €60 million and will not look to give any discounts to Inter.
