Inter’s Christian Eriksen Impresses In Role Behind Strikers In Friendly Win Over Pisa Italian Media Underline

Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen worked hard in yesterday’s 7-0 friendly win over Pisa as he looks to impress coach Antonio Conte, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

The report details how the 28-year-old Dane joined the Milanese club from Tottenham in the January transfer window, in a deal worth around €20 million.

The player struggled to impress Conte in his first half season in Serie A, despite the 51-year-old Italian tinkering with his trusted 3-5-2 formation in order to better accommodate the player.

Yesterday Eriksen played as a trequartista in a 3-4-1-2 formation, the report continues, and impressed, even scoring two goals and working hard across the pitch.

With the imminent arrival of Arturo Vidal and the rediscovery of Stefano Sensi, Eriksen will need to prove his worth to the former Juventus and Chelsea coach if he is shine for the Nerazzurri this season.
