Arturo Vidal could be handed his Inter debut in this weekend’s Serie A season opener at home to Fiorentina according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport.
Inter finally wrapped up the deal to bring the Chilean national team player to the club on Tuesday and after courting him for so long, the report explains that the temptation to throw him in from the first minute is real for Inter manager Antonio Conte.
Yesterday in training Vidal was not among the players in the starting XI but he could well be deployed as an attacking midfielder in front of the midfield two of Nicolo Barella and one of Roberto Gagliardini and Marcelo Brozovic in Saturday’s encounter at San Siro.
The report from the Turin based news outlet also states that yesterday in training Christian Eriksen was in the starting line-up as an attacking midfielder whilst Ivan Perisic was deployed at left wing-back.
