A report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport has suggested that Inter defender Milan Skriniar is still on the transfer market, despite words stated by sporting director Piero Ausilio yesterday.
The report details how Ausilio claimed that the club are not looking to sell the 25-year-old Slovakian, but this instead could have been a message to Tottenham to send a serious offer for the former Sampdoria defender.
Tottenham offered €30 million for Skriniar, a long way off of the Nerazzurri’s €60 million valuation. The Milanese club are expecting a more reasonable offer for the player soon.
Coach Antonio Conte also stated yesterday that the decision would be up to the club, should an interesting offer arrive.
Skriniar did not appear in Inter’s thrilling 4-3 comeback win over Fiorentina yesterday, with Danilo D’Ambrosio, Alessandro Bastoni and Aleksandar Kolarov all starting ahead of him.
The 25-year-old made 42 appearances across all competitions last season, providing two assists.
