Monza have overtaken all other interested clubs in the race to sign Inter youngster Lorenzo Pirola according to a report from Italian football journalist and transfer market expert Nicolo Schira.
The newly promoted Serie B club have overtaken both Lecce and Pescara in the race for the highly rated young central defender and Inter have given the green light for him to go out on loan.
Pirola is a product of Inter’s youth academy and is widely regarded as one of the club’s best prospects at the moment. Despite this he has limited chances of playing regularly at Inter this season but he can certainly get regular game time out on loan.
18-year-old Pirola, who made his first team debut for Inter during last season, is under contract with Inter until the end of the 2024/25 season and is also an Italian youth national team representative.
Schira took to social media platform Twitter and posted: “Monza closing in on their thirteenth signing: Galliani has overtaken Lecce and Pescara in the race for Lorenzo Pirola. Green light from Inter to the loan.”
