Inter will make one last attempt to sign Chelsea left back Marcos Alonso, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The report details how the Nerazzurri are still looking for a new left wing back, with Englishman Ashley Young the only confirmed player in the role, with Aleksandar Kolarov providing backup.
The 29-year-old Spaniard is the favourite for the left wing back role, the report continues, and talks will continue on the basis of a loan deal with a possible buy option.
The player recently had a bitter argument with Blues coach Frank Lampard, suggesting a possible departure is close.
Inter have also been interested in Chelsea’s N’Golo Kante, but the player costs too much and it is impossible to imagine a deal being completed before the closure of the transfer window.
Alonso made 29 appearances across all competitions last season for the West London club.
