Inter have no interest in losing Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen, and have denied that Borussia Dortmund made an offer for him, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how rumours suggested that the German side approached the Nerazzurri and made an offer the 28-year-old Dane, who joined the Milanese club in a deal worth €20 million from Tottenham in the January transfer window, but the Milanese club have denied receiving one.
The player will not leave Milan because he is still considered an integral part of coach Antonio Conte’s project at the club, even if he has struggled in his first nine months in Italy.
The former Tottenham midfielder will not start against Lazio, but may make an appearance from the bench.
Eriksen made 26 appearances across all competitions last season for the Nerazzurri, scoring four goals and providing three assists in that time. He has struggled to adapt to Conte’s tactical system, despite the change of formation to try and suit the player.
