Italian Journalist Nicolo Ceccarini: “Next 3 Months Fundamental For Christian Eriksen’s Future At Inter As PSG Interested”

Italian journalist Niccolò Ceccarini discussed Inter and the situation involving Danish midfielder Christian Eriksen in an editorial for Italian media outlet TuttoMercatoWeb yesterday.

“It will be three fundamental months for Eriksen. The Danish midfielder is an extraordinary player and can only be an added value for the Nerazzurri.

“Much will also depend on how much he will be deployed by Conte. If Eriksen does not find much time for that long, market scenarios will open up.”

He highlighted two different clubs that are interested in signing the 28-year-old Danish midfielder, who signed for the Nerazzurri from Tottenham in the January transfer window in a deal worth €20 million.

“It is still premature, but Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint Germain are already interested.”

Eriksen, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2024, has struggled to adapt to coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system since his arrival in Milan.

The 51-year-old Italian coach tinkered with his trusted 3-5-2 formation in order to get more out of the Dane, but he still failed to impress when given the chance. He is not set to start against AC Milan next weekend.

Eriksen made 26 appearances across all competitions last season for the Milanese club, scoring four goals and providing three assists in that time. The player struggled to kept up with the pace of the game and often appeared invisible.
