Inter attacker Alexis Sanchez has confirmed that the injury he sustained in Chile’s 2-2 draw with Colombia is nothing serious and has insisted that he is ready for this weekend’s Derby della Madonnina between Inter and AC Milan.
The Chilean national team player sustained a blow during last night’s match in a collision with Everton and Colombia midfielder James Rodriguez but has provided reassurance over his condition.
“I’m fine, it’s nothing serious. Ready for Saturday’s derby? I’m always ready , I love what I do,” he explained following the match, as quoted by Chilean news outlet AlAireLibre.cl.
Sanchez joined Inter in the Summer of 2019 from Manchester United on a season long loan and following a successful loan spell he terminated his contract with the Premier League side and joined Inter on a three year contract.
Since joining the club the former Arsenal player has made 35 appearances across all competitions to date. In his time on the park, he has scored four goals and provided his teammates with a total of 12 assists.
