Alessandro Bastoni To Return To Inter Starting Line-Up Against Genoa Italian Media Reports

Alessandro Bastoni will be back in the Inter starting line-up for this weekend’s Serie A match away to Genoa according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Corriere dello Sport.

Bastoni missed Inter’s last league match, the Milan derby, due to COVID-19, but recovered and was able to make a substitute appearance against Borussia Monchengladbach in the Champions League on Wednesday night at San Siro.

The highly rated young Italian will be back in the starting line-up for the match at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris, which Inter will have to do without seven players for.

Ionut Andrei Radu, Matias Vecino, Milan Skriniar, Achraf Hakimi, Roberto Gagliardini, Ashley Young and Alexis Sanchez are all to miss out on the match either due to having COVID-19 or being injured.

Stefano Sensi will meanwhile be able to make a return to the team after examinations ruled out any injuries. The Italian will start on the bench.

Inter starting line-up (3-4-1-2): Samir Handanovic; Danilo D’Ambrosio, Stefan de Vrij, Alessandro Bastoni; Matteo Darmian, Arturo Vidal, Marcelo Brozovic, Ivan Perisic; Nicolo Barella; Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez.
