Italian Media Detail Importance & Leadership Of Inter Striker Romelu Lukaku

A report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport has highlighted the importance of Belgian striker Romelu Lukaku to Inter.

The report details how the 27-year-old Belgian forward, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2024, is clearly a reference point for the squad and potentially the only irreplaceable player in the team.

The Milanese club struggled to break down a fairly defensive Genoa side yesterday, but the former Manchester United forward did not disappoint, working hard in the build up play and involving his teammates often.

After half time, Lukaku finally managed to break the deadlock, with a nice assist from Italian midfielder Nicolo Barella.

The 27-year-old provides more than just goals for the Nerazzurri, as he is also a leader on the pitch and in the dressing room.

Lukaku has scored seven goals in six appearances so far this season, only failing to score against Lazio so far this season.
