Lautaro Martinez Signing New Contract With Inter Is A Formality Italian Media Claim

Inter are thinking of speeding things up up when it comes to the contract renewal of Lautaro Martinez according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.

A contract renewal for the highly rated 23-year-old has been on Inter’s agenda for some time, since the start of this year in fact.

Under the stewardship of Inter manager Antonio Conte the Argentine national team forward has grown exponentially, has become deadly next to strike partner Romelu Lukaku and is close to joining the world elite.

Removing or raising the €111 million release clause in his current contract will be decisive in discouraging other clubs from making any attempts to sign him.

The report from the Milan based news outlet goes on to explain that Lautaro and his representatives want €7.5 million a year whilst Inter are currently only prepared to offer €5 million.

Despite the distance, an agreement being reached and contract renewal being signed seems to be a formality.
