Romelu Lukaku may not be back for Inter until next weekend’s match away to Atalanta according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Belgian national team player has sustained a muscle train in his left thigh and after he suffered the same injury when the 2019/20 Serie A season resumed over the Summer, it took him 10 days to make it back and even then he only started on the bench in his first game back available.
The report goes on to explain that given his imposing physical structure, it is logical that the goal for him to return is against Atalanta on November 8, which is the last match Inter will play before the upcoming international break.
Lukaku, who is Inter’s top goal scorer this term, has made seven appearances across all competitions to date and in his time on the park he has scored seven goals.
