Valentino Lazaro’s agent Max Hagmayr has revealed that his client is happy with the wondegoal that he managed to score in loan club Borussia Monchengladbach’s 4-3 loss to Bayer Leverkusen at the weekend.
The Inter owned Austrian national team player scored a scorpion kick late on in the match against Bayer Leverkusen and video clips of the goal spread across the internet.
“We talked immediately after the match as always, he was happy with his incredible goal but not with the result. Now he is back in the national team after the muscle injury, then he will prepare for the next league and Champions League games”, he explained in an interview with Italian news outlet Calciomercato.it.
Hagmayr proceeded to discuss his client’s relationship with Inter and refused to rule anything out when it comes to his client’s future.
“Valentino still has many friends at the Nerazzurri and follows the matches on TV. The Italian league is important, let’s see what will happen in the future.”
Hagmayr then went on to reveal that his client is currently happy to be at Borussia Monchengladbach and that it is premature to talk about Borussia Monchengladbach signing him up on a permanent basis.
“He is happy at Rose’s team, they wanted him strongly. With him Valentino feels like an important player. Borussia are an excellent club with valuable players, they play in the Champions League that was an important ‘factor’ for us too.
“The whole package, the coach, the team and project were the reasons that led Lazaro to prefer Gladbach. Possible outright purchase? The possibility is always there, but for now it is too early to take a decision.”
Lazaro joined Inter in the Summer of 2019 in a circa €20 million deal from Hertha Berlin. He spent the second half of last season on loan at Newcastle United and is spending the whole of this season on loan at Borussia Monchengladbach.
