Fiorentina are looking to offer a new contract to Inter linked Nikola Milenkovic, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Rome based newspaper Corriere dello Sport.
The report details how, after the arrival of Cesare Prandelli, the Florence based club are looking to secure the strong parts of the squad, starting with the 23-year-old Serbian defender, who is contracted to the Viola until 2022.
It is not certain yet that the player will sign, but Fiorentina are confident and do not want to lose the talented young defender.
In the past, several clubs had offered around €30 million for the player, and Inter were keenly interested in the 23-year-old, but now Fiorentina have the opportunity to secure Milenkovic’s services for the foreseeable future.
In the next few weeks, the ball will be in the court of Milenkovic’s entourage, who are aware of the top clubs interested in the player. The player, however, also wants to bring Fiorentina back to the top.
