Raphael Varane is to have his condition assessed by Real Madrid’s medical staff tomorrow after returning from national team duty with an injury according to a report from the online edition of Spanish daily newspaper Marca.

The French national team player sustained a shoulder injury in France’s UEFA Nations League A group C 4-2 win over Sweden a few days ago.

His condition will be examined tomorrow in the last training session prior to Real Madrid’s La Liga match versus Villarreal.

It now remains to be seen what condition he is in and whether he will miss the Villarreal game and perhaps even the Inter game in the Champions League in the middle of next week.

The report goes on to state that Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane is dealing with a very delicate situation in the defence with Sergio Ramos also recently picking up an injury as well as Nacho Fernandez just returning from an injury and Eder Militao just being given the all clear from COVID-19.
