Romelu Lukaku Inter’s 4th All Time Goalscorer In All UEFA Competition, Italian Media Highlight

Romelu Lukaku has only been at Inter for a year and a half but already sits fourth in Inter’s all time top scorers list in European competition a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Tuttosport highlights.

The Belgian national team player has scored 13 goals in UEFA competitions, which is more than the likes of Aldo Serena, Christian Vieri and Obafemi Martins.

He is currently sitting level with Alvaro Recoba, Julio Cruz, Rodrigo Palacio and Roberto Boninsegna and is only a few goals away from overtaking both third and second place.

Sandro Mazzola scored 17 goals in 52 games in UEFA competitions and is third, Adriano scored 18 in 35 games and is in second and the best score in UEFA competition in Inter’s history is Alessandro Altobelli, who scored 35 goals in 69 games.

Following the win over Borussia Monchengladbach, in which he scored a brace, Lukaku downplayed his involvement but the report from the Turin based news outlet adds that the numbers certify his greatness.
