Inter are planning to strengthen their attack should they progress in Europe, with Chelsea’s Olivier Giroud and Napoli’s Arkadiusz Milik both being considered, according to a report from today’s paper edition of the Turin based newspaper Tuttosport.
The report details how the Blues wanted around €5 million for the 34-year-old French striker in September, a price that the Nerazzurri did not want to pay considering that his contract expires at the end of this season.
Whilst coach Antonio Conte is hoping for a midfield reinforcement in the upcoming January transfer window, if the team succeed against Shakhtar Donetsk next week then a new forward will be needed.
French striker Giroud is the cheaper option and was previously close to a move to Inter last January, before the deal fell through in the final days.
Polish forward Milik remains the more exciting but more expensive option, with Napoli valuing him at around €18 million.
