A report from today’s paper edition of the Milano based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport has highlighted the professionalism of Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen.
The report details how the 28-year-old Danish midfielder, who is contracted to the Nerazzurri until 2024, was brought on in the dying minutes of yesterday’s 3-1 win by coach Antonio Conte, in place of Alexis Sanchez.
The former Tottenham man did not manage to make much of an impact in the game but remained professional, immediately retreating to the locker room after the final whistle, not celebrating with his teammates.
The sale of the 28-year-old Dane in the January transfer window seems inevitable, considering how far on the fringes he is in Conte’s project.
Eriksen has made 10 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 310 minutes. In that time, he has not contributed to a goal, although he has not played more than 11 minutes in a single game since the end of October.
