Inter have recorded their seventh win in the Serie A on the trot after defeating Hellas Verona at the Stadio Marc’Antonio Bentegodi in Verona, thanks to goals from Lautaro Martinez and Milan Skriniar.
Inter struggled to break down the home side in their the new 3-4-2-1 system against a Hellas Verona who caused the Nerazzurri all sorts of problems by pressing high up the pitch.
The Nerazzurri started the second half much better and took the lead deservedly when an Achraf Hakimi cross found Lautaro Martinez who slotted the ball in the back of the net via a volley.
Unfortunately Hellas Verona equalized when Samir Handanovic decided to act as Hellas Verona’s Santa Claus by gifting them the equalizer, via one of the worst howlers of the season in the Serie A.
However, Inter wanted this win at all costs and Milan Skriniar restored the Nerazzurri’s lead via a header latching on to a cross by Marcelo Brozovic ending his almost 3 season long goal drought.
