Achraf Hakimi was born to play as the right wing-back in Inter manager Antonio Conte’s system according to a report in today’s print edition of Italian daily newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport.
The Moroccan national team player joined Inter in a deal worth a total of €45 million from Real Madrid in the most recent transfer window and made a good start before encountering some difficulties.
Hakimi has put the difficulties behind him in recent weeks though and is back shining on the pitch and has proven himself to be an exceptional weapon for Conte to have in his arsenal.
With Milan Skriniar behind him to provide cover, Hakimi is given the freedom to charge freely towards the opposition goal and he has made almost 10 goal contributions already.
Since his arrival at the club on a five year contract, the former Borussia Dortmund loanee has scored four goals and also provided a total of five assists in 19 appearances across all competitions to date.
