Liverpool Will Not Try To Sign Inter’s Milan Skriniar In January Due To High Price Tag, Italian Media Note

Reigning Premier League champions Liverpool are interested in signing Inter defender Milan Skriniar, but will not make an offer for him this month, according to a report from Italian media outlet Calciomercato.com earlier today.

The report details how the 25-year-old Slovakian defender, who is contracted to the Milanese club until 2023, has been a core part of coach Antonio Conte’s tactical system this season, managing to recover well from a frustrating fight with Covid-19.

Liverpool are looking for a new defender and considering the injury to star defender Virgil van Dijk, need to find one soon if they want to keep up in the English title race.

An offer will not arrive from the Reds for Skriniar, however, as they know that €50 million would not be enough to secure his signature this month.

Inter are not looking to make any discounts and want to keep the player until at least the summer.
