Inter are ready to offer their players a new agreement concerning salary payments, according to a report in Italy tonight.
As per Il Sole 24 Ore’s online edition, the Nerazzurri will offer to pay the outstanding wages for July and August 2020 by the end of this week with another month’s worth, the one relating to January, to be provided in February.
Inter will still owe the players their salaries for November and December after that, meaning they will have to come to an additional agreement for those months, assuming their first proposal is accepted.
In addition to receiving the consent of all their players, the report explains that Inter will also have to come to an agreement with everybody under contract with the club, including their former coach Luciano Spalletti, who is still on the club’s payroll until the end of this season.
The Italian Football Federation has fixed a deadline of February 16 for all Serie A clubs to pay their players, otherwise they risk suffering points deductions.
