Inter held yet more contract talks with Lautaro Martinez’s entourage today, as reported by a leading Italian journalist.
As per Nicolo Schira, the Nerazzurri have offered the 23-year-old striker a new deal through to the end of the 2023-24 season with an annual salary of €5 million net plus add-ons.
There are some details still needing to be ironed out but there is optimism that a deal will be reached and Lautaro will extend his stay in Milan.
The Argentine national team player joined Inter in a €20 million deal from Racing Club back in 2018 and is currently under contract with the club until 2023.
Gianluca Di Marzio also confirmed talks had continued on Thursday, reporting that the parties were ‘continuing to define the agreement which will then need to be formalised’.
In his time with the club, Lautaro, who has regularly been linked to the likes of Barcelona and Manchester City, has made 111 appearances across all competitions to date.
During his time on the park, Lautaro has scored 40 goals and provided 14 assists for his teammates.
