Amidst growing financial concern at the club, Inter will seek to defer player and staff wages for the second time since last summer.
The Nerazzurri delayed payment on salaries owed in July and August of last year until next month, and will look to reach a similar arrangement for further outstanding wages, as reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport.
Payments to the playing staff for November and December remain outstanding and Inter owners Suning are looking to reach an agreement to defer these until after the conclusion of the Serie A season at the end of May.
Directors Beppe Marotta and Piero Ausilio met with the team yesterday to explain the necessity of the move and convince them.
Coach Antonio Conte and the squad, led by captain Samir Handanovic, have agreed to this deferral and Inter have avoided the necessity of making individual agreements with each player.
Whilst the deferrals have not been formally authorised yet, it is expected that Inter will be able to reach an agreement with little disruption.
