Antonio Conte Wants To Turn Inter’s Lautaro Martinez Into World Class Striker, Italian Media Report

Antonio Conte wants to turn Inter forward Lautaro Martinez into one of the world’s best strikers, according to an Italian media report.

Lautaro is reportedly close to signing a new three-year deal with the Nerazzurri, with Nerazzurri CEO Beppe Marotta confirming this morning that he expected there to be ‘no problems’ with the Argentina international’s entourage.

As per CalcioMercato.com, Inter know they have have a very strong striker in Lautaro and are asking the 23-year-old to make the next step by working on his mental solidity.

Conte is reported to have agreed an ‘unwritten pact’ with the former Racing Club man a few months back, vowing to do everything in his power to make Lautaro a top player in every aspect who can score from any position.

CM’s report highlighted that Lautaro has developed an unwelcome habit of missing apparently easy chances, pointing out that El Toro has ‘only’ scored 16 goals in his last 51 appearances for Inter.

He also manages to pull off stunning moments of quality, though, earning a comparison with compatriot and former Inter forward Hernan Crespo.

Lautaro has made 28 appearances in all competitions under Conte this season, in which he has scored 11 goals and provided six assists.
