Inter Midfielder Arturo Vidal Fit For Derby Della Madonnina Against AC Milan But Could Return Against Lazio, Italian Media Report

Inter expect to have midfielder Arturo Vidal fit to face AC Milan in the Derby della Madonnina in two weeks, although the Chilean could return to the fold even sooner than that.

The 32-year-old started Inter’s 2-0 victory over Fiorentina at the Stadio Artemio Franchi on Friday evening but was forced off at half-time after suffering a blow to his left knee shortly before the interval.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Vidal underwent medical tests yesterday and any serious injury was ruled out.

Vidal is suspended for Inter’s Coppa Italia Semi-Final match against former club Juventus on Tuesday and will undergo a tailored fitness regime with a view to returning against Lazio in Serie A next Sunday.

However, whilst his availability for the visit of the Biancoceleste remains to be confirmed until later this week, Vidal is expected to be completely fit for the top of the table clash against Milan on February 21.
