BC Partners Set March 31 Deadline For Inter Talks With Suning, Italian Media Report

BC Partners have set a deadline in negotiations with Suning to buy Inter, according to an Italian media report today.

As per Corriere dello Sport’s print edition, the British private equity fund have set a deadline of March 31, which is a particularly important day.

By the above date, in order to obtain a UEFA licence for the following season, clubs must be up to date with all payments and Inter also have to pay Real Madrid a €10 million instalment for Achraf Hakimi by then too, which was delayed from December.

In short, before then Suning will have to solve the current problems that Inter are facing, with the Rome-based publication arguing March 31 would represent ‘a moment of truth’ for the Nerazzurri.

BC Partners completed their due diligence of Inter’s accounts several weeks ago and made an official offer to Suning for the club soon after.

Despite the fact there is a gap of €200 million between supply and demand, the report explains that talks have never collapsed completely between the parties, albeit there is still no deal expected imminently.
