Inter midfielder Christian Eriksen won the Nerazzurri’s Goal on the Month award for January, as announced in a post on their Twitter page yesterday.
The 29-year-old Danish midfielder, who is contracted to the Milanese club until 2024, was given the award for his stunning free kick against rivals AC Milan in last month’s Coppa Italia quarter-finals.
The former Tottenham man has made 19 appearances across all competitions so far this season, for a total of 760 minutes. In that time, he has scored one goal and picked up one yellow card.
Inter announced his award in a post on Twitter, saying:
“Goal of the month. Precision and coolness: it’s Christian Eriksen. The best goal of the month of January with his free-kick in the 97th minute against AC Milan.”
