Matias Vecino has urged his Inter teammates to stick together if they want to secure the Serie A title this season.
Antonio Conte’s side are six points clear at the top of the table following last night’s crucial 1-0 win at home to Atalanta.
Vecino has not featured for the Nerazzurri since last July, having undergone knee surgery following the end of the previous campaign.
Speaking to Sport890 during ‘Ultimo Al Arco’, via FcInterNews.it, the midfielder said: “We all want to play and be on the pitch, but we have a deep squad of the highest quality.
“Everyone has to wait for their moment.
“If we want to achieve something important we need to all be united.”
Vecino also touched upon Romelu Lukaku, who has proven pivotal to the club’s hopes of securing a first league title since way back in 2010.
“He’s a friendly giant,” the Uruguayan added.
“We know that if we’re struggling during a game, we can send the ball long to Lukaku and something will come from it.”
Inter’s next league game will take place on Sunday when they visit Torino at the Stadio Olimpico Grande Torino.
Conte will not be available to stand on the touchline for this match after he was booked against Atalanta on Monday night, triggering a one-game ban from Serie A’s disciplinary commission.
