Antonio Conte will be reunited with five key Inter players on Wednesday, according to a report in the Italian media today.
Tuttosport’s print edition explained that Romelu Lukaku, Milan Skriniar, Ivan Perisic, Marcelo Brozovic and Achraf Hakimi would all be back with the Nerazzurri at that point after completing international duty.
Brozovic is already done in terms of playing, after Croatia boss Zlatko Dalic said he would sit out their final FIFA World Cup qualifier against Malta tomorrow.
All five will be hoping to start as normal for Conte’s side when Inter visit Bologna in matchday 28 of Serie A on Saturday.
Inter are resuming training at Appiano Gentile today after two days off, although Danilo D’Ambrosio, Stefan de Vrij and Matias Vecino are all still out after testing positive again for COVID-19 yesterday.
Samir Handanovic returned a negative test and should therefore be in line to start in goal at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.
Arturo Vidal is also out of the group training today because he is following an individual program, as the midfielder continues his recovery from knee surgery.
