Inter midfielder Arturo Vidal is set to be amongst the squad for today’s Serie A match against Bologna at the Stadio Renata Dall’Ara.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, the Chile international will be named as a substitute following his return to fitness after surgery on his left knee in March.

Vidal underwent an operation to correct an ongoing issue after Inter’s 1-0 win over Atalanta and was ruled out of a victory over Torino, as well as the postponed clash against Sassuolo.

Coach Antonio Conte will be without Ivan Perisic and Aleksandar Kolarov, with Ashley Young set to start at left wing-back, whilst Christian Eriksen is believed to have seen off competition from Roberto Gagliardini to retain his position in central midfield.

Elsewhere, Andrea Ranocchia will step into the starting line-up to join Alessandro Bastoni and Milan Skriniar, with Stefan De Vrij only just returning from a spell in isolation after contracting COVID-19.
