Inter Defender Alessandro Bastoni At Halftime: “Playing After International Breaks Is Never Easy”

Inter’s Italian international central defender Alessandro Bastoni believes the Nerazzurri are playing solidly after the first half against Bologna in the Serie A clash between the two sides at the Stadio Renato Dall’Ara.

Speaking to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia Bastoni underlined that it is never easy to play immediately after the international break.

“Yes [we are solid]. The matches after the international break are never easy. We all came back on Thursday after the chaos that ensued.

“Bologna is putting us in difficulty but we managed to score and this is important.”

Inter lead the match between the two sides after an Alessandro Bastoni cross met the head of Romelu Lukaku who broke the deadlock scoring the only game of the match so far today.

Alessandro Bastoni joined Inter in the summer of 2017 in a deal worth €31 million from Atalanta where several young players moved to the Bergamaschi in a separate deal.

Since joining the Nerazzurri, Bastoni has featured 66 times across all competitions scoring 3 goals in the process.
