Lautaro Martinez Negotiating New Inter Deal Himself After Ditching Agents, Italian Media Reveal

Lautaro Martinez is so eager to sign a new deal at Inter he has taken control of talks himself, according a report in the Italian media today.

Il Giorno’s print edition said El Toro was finishing negotiations with the Nerazzurri alone after parting company with long-time agents Beto Yaque and Rolando Zarate.

Inter had already reached an agreement back in January to extend Lautaro’s contract until 2024, increasing his annual salary to €5 million plus bonuses and removing the striker’s €111 million release clause.

Lautaro is expected to finalise everything with Inter before the end of April, in a move which is reminiscent of Milan Skriniar back in 2018.

Skriniar also negotiated a contract extension at Inter on his own after separating from his agent at the time, demonstrating his attachment to the Nerazzurri.

Lautaro has now followed in his teammate’s footsteps and looks set to continue entertaining Nerazzurri fans for several years to come.
