Inter coach Antonio Conte will not meet with President Steven Zhang until the end of the season as he remains completely focused on winning the Serie A title.

As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, Zhang is set to return to Milan from China by the end of the week but Conte will not allow any distractions as he looks to secure the title.

Inter need just nine points from their final six games to mathematically secure a first Scudetto since 2010 and the coach is solely focused on that.

The Rome-based newspaper pointed to Conte’s approach to his pre-match press conference ahead of today’s game against Hellas Verona and likened him to a pressure cooker, suggesting that he was holding it all in despite off-the-field uncertainty, but is on the verge of exploding with the Scudetto now in sight.

Having navigated through a difficult season in which salaries have been deferred and Inter’s inability to make use of the transfer market in January, the coach is desperate for clarity on the long-term plans of the club.

Indeed, it is suggestions that Conte may release the pressure and demand answers once the title has been wrapped up.

Meanwhile, Conte has not seen or heard from Zhang since the President returned to China in October, and this may well continue until the end of the season.
