Inter fans have very little reason to get excited about the upcoming transfer window, a report in the Italian media explained today.
Tuttosport’s print edition said the Nerazzurri would be unable to make any big signings in the summer due to their well-documented financial issues.
Steven Zhang will hold talks with Antonio Conte to discuss the club’s plans for the market, but it doesn’t look as if Inter’s head coach will enjoy what he hears.
While Inter will be unable to sign high-profile reinforcements, it cannot be excluded that they sell some of their key players in order to balance the books.
Conte wants clarity heading into the summer and he will hopefully get it when he meets Zhang, who returned to Milan yesterday after six months away.
The Turin-based paper warned this could be Zhang’s toughest meeting upon his return to Italy – even though it does not have financial implications for Inter – given Conte’s fiery temperament.
