Inter’s incredible form in the second half of the season has been the backbone to their charge towards the Scudetto this term.
As reported in today’s newspaper edition of Corriere dello Sport, Antonio Conte’s side have practically sewn up the title and will be crowned champions today if Atalanta fail to take maximum points from their match against Sassuolo.
It would see Inter win the Scudetto with four matches to spare and take away any pressure from upcoming games against Sampdoria, Roma, Juventus, and Udinese.
The newspaper pointed to the Nerazzurri’s devastating form since the midway point of the campaign as the main factor in their success.
In the 15 matches that Inter have played in the second half of the season, they remain unbeaten and have recorded 13 wins and two draws, including an 11-match winning streak.
Inter’s last defeat came against Sampdoria in the 19th round of fixtures on 6 January, whilst Conte’s team have scored 31 goals in their last 17 games, conceding only six.
